There are 207 universities in Turkey, most of which are located in Istanbul and Ankara. You can enter Turkish universities immediately after the 11th grade. Education is conducted in two languages: Turkish and English

  • To study in Turkish, you need to pass the TÖMER language exam at level C1
  • Proof of language proficiency is required for admission to English-language programs. Turkish universities accept TOEFL, YOKDIL, or university testing results
  • If a student does not know the language, they will need to take a language course before starting their studies.
